Ripon’s historic Market Place will be transformed into a festive winter wonderland next month when the Christmas market returns for a three-day event, running from November 20 to 22.
Organised by Little Bird Made, the event will take place in the Market Square, set against the backdrop of Ripon’s famous obelisk.
The artisan market will bring together an array of local creators, independent makers, and regional food traders.
Traditional festive wooden huts stocked with hand-crafted gifts, seasonal decor, bespoke jewellery, warm spiced drinks, and seasonal entertainment across all three days.
Jackie Crozier, managing director of Little Bird Made, said it was "absolutely thrilled to bring the Ripon Christmas Markets back to the heart of the city for the second year running".
The event will take place over what is expected to be one of Ripon's busiest periods of the year.
Lilla Bathurst, manager of Ripon Business Improvement District, said:
Christmas markets are a huge driver of footfall for town and city centres, and Ripon is no exception. Our Ripon BID and Little Bird Made artisan Christmas market is expected to bring many people into the city to enjoy high-quality makers, festive atmosphere and the chance to discover something truly unique.
For the second year running it is especially exciting as it’s Ripon’s full Christmas market and fair weekend, with the Cathedral Christmas Food and Gift Fair also running on the Friday and Saturday.
