The Sue Ryder charity shop on Moss's Arcade in Ripon is to close permanently tomorrow (May 30).
Two staff and nine volunteers are affected by the closure, which the end-of-life charity said was due to its lease on the unit expiring.
A spokesperson said:
We can confirm that our Ripon shop will sadly be closing on Saturday, May 30. We are grateful to our dedicated staff and volunteers, and to our customers and the wider community, for the incredible support you have shown over the years. Every item donated and every purchase made has helped raise vital funds for Sue Ryder’s palliative care and bereavement support.
Although our doors are closing, the impact of your generosity will continue to be felt by the people the charity has cared for.
Sue Ryder has almost 400 shops nationwide, including one in the Harrogate district at Castlegate in Knaresborough.
