Knaresborough firm marks double milestone

A Knaresborough company specialising in heating, cooling and renewable energy products has celebrated two milestone achievements.
MJ Ryder marked 20 years in business with day of food, drink and entertainment, and sister company Knaresborough Bathrooms also launched its third showroom.
Founded as a small local business in 2006, MJ Ryder has since worked in more than 9,000 homes across Harrogate and the surrounding areas.
Amanda Ryder, director of MJ Ryder, said reaching 20 years in business is about much more than simply marking another year. She said:
It’s difficult to believe we’ve reached 20 years. When we started back in 2006, we could never have imagined how much the business would grow, or how many amazing customers, suppliers and people we would meet along the way.
We’re incredibly proud of what the team has achieved. We’ve built a business based on doing things properly, looking after our customers and, most importantly, having a fantastic team of people who genuinely care about what they do.
Guests celebrated in style.
The celebration also gave the company the chance to give customers and suppliers a look around the new Knaresborough Bathrooms showroom on Grimbald Crag Close, which displays complete bathrooms and offers advice and 3D bathroom design.
Tim Kelly, sales manager at Knaresborough Bathrooms, said:
Having more than 20 bathroom bays for customers to walk around gives us a fantastic opportunity to show just how many different options are available.
We wanted the showroom to be somewhere people can come in, have a look around, get ideas and talk through their plans without feeling pressured.
The new showroom can display complete bathrooms settings.
The anniversary celebration brought together the two sides of the business, and management has ambitious plans for both companies.
Ms Ryder added:
Twenty years feels like a huge milestone, but it also feels like the beginning of the next chapter. MJ Ryder has changed enormously over the years and we’re excited about where heating and renewable technology is going.
And now we have Knaresborough Bathrooms alongside us, it’s an exciting time for the whole team. We’re looking forward to continuing to grow, continuing to employ locally and, most importantly, continuing to look after the customers who have supported us for the last 20 years.
