Local holidaymakers will be able to travel to two new areas of Greece from next year.
Jet2, which is based at Leeds Bradford Airport, this morning (May 29) revealed it is launching flights and holidays to Preveza and Santorini from May 2027.
Announcing the news, Jet2 said:
The leading leisure airline and UK’s largest tour operator has responded to demand from holidaymakers looking to book ahead and enjoy a fantastic summer getaway by launching flights and holidays to Santorini and Preveza for the first time.
Both routes are exclusive to Jet2 from the airport.
Services to Preveza will operate every Sunday until October 10, 2027, and weekly flights between Leeds Bradford and Santorini will operate on Thursdays until October 7, 2027.
Jet2’s chief executive, Steve Heapy, said:
We are seeing continued demand for our award-winning flights and holidays and many people wanting to book ahead for Summer 2027, so we are delighted to respond with this expanded programme from Leeds Bradford Airport.
With two stunning, brand-new routes being announced today, our summer 2027 programme gives holidaymakers exactly what they want – more choice and flexibility.
We look forward to taking customers on their well-deserved holidays and showcasing our award-winning customer service to them as they head off to these new destinations.
The news comes after Jet2 last week sought to reassure holidaymakers over jet fuel supply this summer.
As reported by the Stray Ferret, the airline and holiday operator said the “current picture” depicted by its fuel suppliers is “one of increased production and imports”.
